I have two chihuahuas. There is no way a chihuahua can hold it all day, either in a kennel or out. Their little bladders are not big enough. Plus, they do not like cold weather or rain and getting them to potty outside is an effort in futility. I have tried every puppy pad at the local retail stores and figured out these were the best. They are quilted so they do not bunch up. My youngest dog cannot chew them up like she does the blue ones. Why they chew them up, I have no clue….it’s a puppy thing! I have been buying the 24 pack of this brand pad at my local Wally mart for .00. They are at the grocery store! I just happened to see these on Amazon – 50 for .99 and with the 4 for 3 deal and free shipping, that comes to .49 per pack. Less than I was paying retail with sales tax for 24! Great job, Amazon! I will be buying these regularly and I wish they had them on Subsribe & Save so I don’t have to reorder!

I had been buying this pad but no more. You have just outpriced yourself by raising the price from .99 to .21 even with the 4 for 3 discount and the free shipping(that’s why the two stars). They are cheaper at Walgreens where they still sell for .99. You can lower the price in consideration of your customers,I’ll buy them again. In the meantime, if you want a pretty good pad I’ve used the ones from DHMEDICAL online where they have 200 pads for and reasonable shipping. Zero Stars for Amazon. five stars for the Hartz quality.

I purchased a shih tzu in December of 2008 and was advised to visit Amazon.com for pad suggestions. I must admit that prior to believing all the “hype” I was very skeptical due to the cost comparison with other major brands. I ordered one box of the gridlock puppy training with the sticky peels on the back. While awaiting the arrival of this shipment I visited Petsmart and purchased a box of Simple Solutions Pee Pads and Nature’s Miracle. What I learned with that experience is absorbency is the main consideration factor. If you leave water out for your dog as you should throughout the day while utilzing this brand;be prepared to have a mop and Simple Soutions Odor and Stain Remover on hand when returning home. The outer layer is a plastic blue which allows leakage if your dog releases himself more than once.It may be a cheaper brand however you will use them at a faster rate because the absorbency is of poor quality. Again, you get what you pay for. It was very important for the pee pad to be “the best” due to utilizing this method for training my dog where to release outside when the time came. Believe me, you would not want to reference back to that product if using this method to teach your dog exactly where to go in the backyard to allow him freedom and avoid worrying over the location of his/her release. Now, the Gridlock Wee Wee Pads are by far the BEST BRAND of pads for samller breeds based on my experience with the smaller dogs only. The top layer has more of a cloth feel and not the white thin layer as other brands. It is more appealing to the eye and does not take away of the decor of any room it is placed in. I don’t know what mechanism they used to lure the dog to the pad to release but whatever it is cannot be beat. My dog has never had an accident or questioned where he should go when using this brand. I even tested the theory of location training versus pad training by using the pads in other rooms of the house with hardwood floors and simply placed my dog on the pad to direct one time. He will go to this pad no matter where I put it in the house. The absorbency is “out of this world.” You would have a hard time trying to figure out if your dog has released or not unless he “poops” of course. They must use a dry acting enzyme agent for both due to the feces drying up very quick and hard almost dissolving. In addition, he quicly absorbs ordors as well. My dog always barks to indicate he has released which gives me an awareness to the need of changing the pads. If my dog ever stopped barking to tell me he has used the potty I would have to use the glow light for pet urine to determine the usage of the wee wee pads. THESE PADS ARE BY FAR THE GREATEST PADS FOR SMALLER BREED DOGS YOU COULD EVER INVEST IN!!! YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY BY ANY MEANS!(I don’t comment on the usage for larger breed dogs only because my sole experience has been with smaller breeds. But hey, what do you have to lose.If they have a pad large enough-go for it.)

I have a toy breed dog that uses puppy pads in a litter box instead of going outside. I have tried just about every brand of puppy pad in an effort to find one that is absorbent and odor resistant. These are the best I have found for the price. I am very pleased with the product. Other products are scented in order to mask the odors and smell horrible right out of the box. These are unscented but still manage to keep odors at bay despite being soiled for several hours. The reseller, DigItPet, shipped my order quickly and correctly.

These pads are great for maltese and yorkies and all small breeds that are trained to go inside. I suggest the 200 pk rather than the 100.

I got a new puppy for the first time a few months ago. He’s small and we live in an apartment, was not yet potty-trained, so I needed to get him some puppy pads. I initially picked up a dozen for about ten to fifteen dollars at a local store in the midst of doing my original supply run in anticipation of my baby.

These pads are MORE ABSORBENT than the ones I got originally, which actually had the Arm n Hammer name on them. They are incredibly cheap relative to most other pads. No need to buy the expensive ones, even considering shipping costs. Great product.

I have 3 elderly dogs who are finding it harder to not make a mess while we are at work. These pads have been helpful in keeping the basement clean. They were never paper trained, but do use the pads about 75% of the time.

I have tried about every pee pad I could find and they all were horrible except this one. These soak up the pee fast. They are kind of quilted that way there is not a thin top layer that the dogs rip up. I have a 5 month old Jack Russell and they work great in her kennel. If you have a big dog that pee’s a lot I don’t know how they would work. These are the best pee pads out there. I have tried them all! I would buy these again and recommend to friends!

Neat ‘n Dry Dog Training Pads -Large Size are the best doggie wee pads I have ever used. The small size is a bit too small (even little dogs need room to sniff and circle), but the large is perfect. It is the most absorbent pad so there is no puddle under the dog’s feet while she is peeing. The borders are also good which is important to me because my dog often pees near the edge, which is a problem when the pads have a plastic border so that the pees runs off and onto the floor. These pads are good even along the borders (as long as the dog doesn’t totally miss the pad alltogether).

My stay-at-home dachshund and Yorkie are very spoiled for cleanliness and these wee-wee pads hold more moisture with no scent than the cheaper brands. I find it very convenient to have a latrine at home and use about one or two pads per 24 hours for back-up bathroom purposes. The small size is fine for small dogs and the price is very good in this package format.

I would recommend this product for anyone that wants to train a puppy with pee pads or for a dog that is left alone all day. It prevents them from dragging the pee pad around and chewing it up. I acutally bought another one in a larger size after I bought the first one.

changed our lives forever. took a day or two for our dogs to get used to stepping up onto this pad holder, but no more going off the side and onto the floor. the first night our older dog peed and pooped right NEXT to it. all we did was move her poop up to the pad and soaked a little of her pee onto the pad and she got it from then on. our younger pup doesn’t destroy the wee-wee pads daily anymore… no more taping the pads to the ground… no more ingested pee-soaked pads for our pup. and no more pee/poop on the ground where the pad was before the baby dragged it elsewhere for our confused older pup

Absorbs well. Actually, out of all the pads listed, I have had the best luck with this one. I have two small dogs, paper trained. I put these down on the bathroom floor, and they far surpass any other item I have used to date, and I have tried them all!

We have two little Chihuahua and a Yorkie where they spent most of the time in door. Getting them trained on WeeWee pads has worked out very well. The pad provides good absorbant, nothing passes through. We usually get away with changing just 1 pad per day. Overall great product. Easy to clean up, just throw it away. Will be ordering again.
